H. P. Lovecraft, AUTOBIOGRAPHY, scarce Arkham House item

This small booklet, published by Arkham House for London’s Villiers Press, reprints Lovecraft’s Autobiography: Some Notes on a Nonentity, which originally appeared in the 1943 Arkham collection Beyond the Wall of Sleep. August Derleth annotates Lovecraft’s essay for this version, disputing and/or rebutting some of HPL’s statements. It was not an official Arkham House release and the print run was limited to 500 copies, which makes it a key collectible for fans and collectors of the author. Aside from some tiny scratches on the front cover’s lower right corner (under the price), this copy is Very Fine, close to As New. Autobiography turns up infrequently and has commanded prices as high as $500, making our copy a bargain.
